During the Annual General Meeting that took place in the Town of Cornwall, Prince Edward Island, on November 17, 2022, Dr. Xander Wang, Director of Climate Smart Lab, delivered a talk to the public.
As a guest speaker, Dr. Wang shared his knowledge regarding flood prediction and monitoring data from the past natural disaster, Hurricane Fiona. His presentation on adapting to the effects of climate change on Prince Edward Island received much interest and positive feedback from the audience. In addition to a variety of tools and technologies that his research team has developed, Dr. Wang disclosed that he is currently developing a new application that can predict sea level rise and will soon be made available to the public.
