My name is Haia Alzoubi, and I moved to Canada in 2014 and have always lived on Prince Edward Island since my arrival. I am in my third year of a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at the University of Prince Edward Island. I have always been interested in research and working in a lab, whether in my field as a laboratory assistant or outside of it. Given the opportunity to learn more about the Climate and how it is changing is very meaningful to me since what is currently happening to our Earth will eventually affect us all as a population if nothing is done to prevent it. Although I am a chemistry major, there is a strong link between climate change and greenhouse gases and chemistry. Researching in this subject will allow me to apply my chemistry knowledge and gather useful facts about climate change, which will assist me in my current studies. As someone who enjoys traveling, walking, and being outdoors, I am looking forward to being a part of a team that will make a difference and be the change the world needs. Although this may appear to be a big concept, with everyone’s collaboration and teamwork, we can leave an impact and be the change for future generations.
