Qasim joined the Climate Smart Lab as a Ph.D. Environmental Sciences student in January 2022. He completed a BS in Applied Geology (2018) and an M. Phil in Applied Hydrology (2020) from the University of the Punjab, Pakistan. During his graduation, he gained diverse experience related to engineering geology, hydrogeology, and hydrology through various research projects. His current research focuses on groundwater investigation and modeling, coastal erosion modeling, coastal resilience and adaptation, including but not limited to climate change and adaptation, groundwater-surface water interactions, sustainable groundwater management, data science, water budget analysis, remote sensing technologies. In his free time, he likes to go outdoors, learn something new, and hang out with friends.
