Sana Basheer is a Ph.D. student at Climate Smart Lab, Canadian Center of Climate Change and Adaptation under the supervision of Dr. Xander Wang since January 2021. Her Ph.D. research focused on weather predictions, change detection in land use/cover using GIS, analysis of high-resolution remote sensing data, and change in coastal ecosystems at different spatial and temporal scales in Prince Edward Island (PEI) by using different state-of-the-art remote sensing and GIS. Sana received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, Pakistan in 2017 and 2019, respectively. She has published and co-published articles in well reputed international journals. She also presented her research work at different international conferences and seminars. She also worked at Climate Change, Alternative Energy and Water Resources Institute (CAEWRI), National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC), Pakistan.
